How to prep, cook, and eat papads: easy peasy, mmmm!
If papads at home are new to you, here's what I do with them: Place one on a paper towel (over a plate, if you wish). Drizzle on a little oil and spread it with your fingers. Repeat with a second papad on top of the first. Stack as many as you like, and when finished, move the bottom papad to the top (the back is oiled lightly by contact with the top of the next one down). Place in microwave. For my 1200W m/w, 40 seconds for 2 papads is perfect. I'm guessing you'd only have to add 5-10 seconds for a higher stack. They come out perfectly crispy, so thin you'll want at least 2 per person. I enjoy them alongside idli (bought frozen, steamed briefly in m/w, sprinkled with included spices), with a peppery sambal (yes, even though these are pepper-flavored papads) and plain yogurt (cools the peppered tongue). Tip: I add a smidge of sugar to the yogurt, enough to temper the tartness but not enough to notice the sweet note. No m/w? Prep as above, toast singly in skillet. But the m/w does it better.By the way, mine arrived perfetly whole, perhaps because they were packed with a flat, stiff box of soan papdi—oh, my, you must look up soan papdi while you're here. And I didn't mind the pepper level, perhaps because I ate them with cooling yogurt (or curd, as the Indians call it). Balance = moderation in all things, at least when it comes to food.

Yummy! On the spicy side.
Really good... I just wish they weren’t so spicy. The spice is a little inconsistent too which comes with the territory of handmade so I’m pretty excited when I come across one that is less spicy.

Best Papads EVER!
I have been searching for a very long time to find "real" papads. Absolutely perfect and perfectly addicting. A must try for Papad fans. I spray with EVOO and pop in the microwave for about 90 sec.

Top Shelf Papadums
Top shelf papadums! 30 seconds in the microwave on a paper towel. Thin and crisp, the perfect vegan snack!I've got the cumin flavor on order, garlic next, then . . .This flavor has a great, spicy bite. Makes my mouth water for a while after eating, pleasantly so.

Super yummy yummy
I love these so much! I put two in the microwave for 40 seconds, I add nothing to them and usually don’t bother with a paper towel either. This has been my favorite flavor so far, I LOVE the spice. My ONLY question is how many calories is one wafer?

Popadoms are brittle and were shipped in a thin envelope so many were too broken to use.
This is a favorite food item but the packkaging needs to be improved if they are to be sent by mail.

Punjabi Masala flavor
I was hoping these would be plain because I have a friend who can't do spicy food. The main spice is black pepper and plenty of it. I don't like very spicy food but I can do a little spicy. I would call this medium spicy. I had no problem with it but my friend won't be able to eat them. These are paper thin. Really amazing! And very delicate. The black peppercorns make holes throughout.

The real thing!
This is the same papad I would buy in India. The variety lijjat has is pretty awesome. Can't go wrong, this is the real thang!
