Comfortable and multi-functional soft shell jacket with a two-way full front zipper and high collar with a chin guard of grid fleece. Large cobra-style hood, concealed inside the collar, can be easily adjusted with elastic cords with cord locks placed at the back and each side of the hood. The jacket features eight practical pockets placed on the chest, both sleeves and lower back, all lined with mesh or grid fleece. The inner lining of superfine Grid-Tech fleece offers both excellent thermal protection and body moisture management as it traps the heat inside while allowing moisture to escape freely. Breathable and water-resistance Storm|Tex membrane makes the jacket suitable for mild to cold weather conditions and its elastic outer shell offers optimal comfort of movement. Pentagon Artaxes Softshell Jacket is perfect for both law enforcement and security personnel, as well as Airsoft, fishing and hunting, and everyday wear.

Go for a size smaller than normal for a perfect fit.
I read a review by someone my size and height who ordered a small, rather than a medium and it was the perfect fit. I ordered the small and it too was a perfect fit. 👍 Excellent jacket with multiple pockets and very warm too. Very happy.

slightly larger than expected
Very comfortable softshell jacket, with plenty of pockets and two velcro panels at a shoulder height ideal for mounting patches. Very well insulated yet also breathable.10/10 would recommend

Decent jacket for active wear
Seems like a well made, good quality jacket (time will tell). Lots of pockets, side pockets for hands would be useful but not a that much of a problem without. Really warm and internal fleece lining is very good. Some people saying it's a tight fit, well I'm 5'9 and a medium fits fine with a couple layers underneath.Have bought from Military 1st before and have never had any problems, will definitely buy from them again.

Great Jacket, fantastic quality - so much better than expected!
Highly rate this jacket! I ordered a small, I’m 5’ 10” - 11.5 stone 32” waist… and this fits perfectly with a T shirt and sweatshirt… blocks wind and will repels some rain… great colour in olive green! Great number of pockets a draw cord on waist, hood fits well in collar… when done up it’s feels fine not too baggy with good movement around neck and chest… other reviews suggested too tight around neck… but the fit is great… more for athletic build. This is my go to jacket at the moment…. Look great and super practical for a weekend jacket… would highly recommend!

Bad Bad Bad. Avoid.
Update: 11.09.2019.I used the left pocket for the first time today and found that it had not been fully sewn up, leaving a 2 inch gap where small items could fall out (see photo). This is just poor quality control. It also rained and, while a lot of the jacket repelled water well, the middle of the main zip let water in. I now have to waste my time sending the jacket back for a refund. Overall, this is a very poor jacket and not worth the cost. Not waterproof, bad main zip, open pocket, uncomfortable collar. Avoid.Original Review:I only received this yesterday so I will update my review as things change but my immediate impressions are mixed. On the plus side, it seems decently made and of reasonable quality, it's very warm and it has wide sleeves which are perfect if you wear a bulky watch like a Rangeman or something. Delivery (by Military 1st) was also great. There are bad points too. The front main zip is an absolute pain to start zipping up unless you have the zipper pushed right into the other part of the zip. The same applies to the underarm vent zips. Very annoying. The pockets on the arm are smaller than expected. The general 'shape' of the jacket is also a little odd. While it needs to be lightweight, it struggles to keep its shape because of this and looks a bit 'thin' and 'untidy', certainly not as sleek as the photographs shown. There is lots of excess material, especially around the back. This isn't because the jacket is too big for me, because it just closes comfortably when zipped up and I would struggle to get anything other than a very thin jumper underneath. The size and weight of the hood also bends the jacket outwards when it is not zipped up, showing the inside of the jacket around the zip line. The hood also prevents you from zipping the jacket up completely (it will strangle you if you try!). Finally, I think it will struggle to resist tears and scratches (especially in the pockets), but I may be proven wrong. I haven't tested how waterproof it is yet.Overall, it's worth a go, slightly overpriced but ok if you prefer function over appearance.

Where are the side pockets?
I liked the jacket and feel of it. Shame for a jacket that literally thought about every pocket man can think of, there is no side pockets!! Some strange / \ pockets on chest but very uncomfortable to put your hands in them if you are walking around!Another issue was the under arm zippers. Yes its great to get some air in but do you need to add two Zipper pulls to each side so massive with such a big puller tag? No matter which side I pull them both they were still uncomfortable dangling with every movement!

Pockets are great, which is what I got it for really
Pockets are great, which is what I got it for really. It looks good apart from the silly back pocket but I'd say the thing that annoys me the most is that the back is too baggy, you can tighten the cord around the waste but there is still too much excess material above in my opinion.

Great jacket if a little small
Pentagon do great kit. They are often 1/2 size smaller than a normal fit, it’s often better to go 1 size up.I normally wear a large. This fits but is a little snug.
