Make It Fizz: A Guide to Making Bathtub Treats Kindle Edition

I bought this book because I needed some advice in addition to the million YouTube videos I'd seen. I would call the info here as 'mentions' of ingredients. There is no substantive info. Specifically about color. I know color, I'm an artist. However, it's different with bath bombs. They fall under the category of cosmetics so the FDA regulates and publishes guidelines regarding what you can use. I really hope that this author does not put simply "coloring" or "yellow" on her product labels. If so, she is not complying with government regs. In this book, the author simply says "add dry or powdered color" There is absolutely no information about all of the different ways that you can possibly color your bath bombs (micas, food coloring, soap coloring, Lakes, dyes). There are only a couple of these that you can use if you plan on selling your products and/or care about the humans that are soaking in a tub with your bath bombs. It's really remiss to leave this info out. This whole complaint also relates to the other ingredients. Basically no info. Happily I bought 2 other books witch explain this info in detail. So, no I didn't care for this book and am angry at the neglected info.

I'm going to gripe in this review over the size of this thing (or lack thereof! Lol) I was so surprised when I opened it, I thought I must have it confused with two other bath bomb books I'd purchased from other sellers that were priced at $9 and $11. But no, this was the almost $25 one! It's about the thickness of one of those special magazines they sell at the grocery checkouts for $9.99. I'd been expecting a sizable book for that price, so was pretty disappointed. One reviewer mentioned the large full-color photos, and I'm guessing that's what ate up the production costs of this thing. Then the lack of savings was passed on to us! I haven't used the recipes since this is a gift and I'm not in the mood to start all over searching for the ultimate bath bomb book for the kid, so I'll just keep it. But, fair warning to all who are on a budget!

This book is incredibly well written. The recipes are concise, in perfect, easy-to-follow, order and fun to study. Having read the guide from cover to cover, it was a journey that was excitedly undertaken.Having successfully made bath bombs using the standard (other) recipe that most people use, it's easy to accidentally start the fizzing chemical reaction. It's not very forgiving.Not having made your recipe as yet, I have created my shopping cart with the ingredients in the basic recipe and am excitedly awaiting my supplies. I know I'm going to love 💘 the bath bombs.TO THE AUTHOR:My most sincere gratitude for having written this guidebook. It was a no-brainer to rate it five stars.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was super disappointed by this book. I bought it because I figured that even one new, helpful piece of information or idea was worth the price tag. However, there was no unique information in this book whatsoever, even for a beginner. If you've done much research at all on bath bombs or have watched YouTube videos on the topic, you likely already have all of the information you'll find in this book.Also keep in mind that many of these pages are large, unnecessary photos (like glitter) with no text.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. This book is the best guide to making bath bombs ever written! I have tried others, and always either the bombs cracked or stayed too soft. Using Holly's recipe and step by step instructions, absolutely anyone will be successful. One reviewer noted that you must have a stand mixer to make these, but you can substitute a hand mixer if necessary. I would recommend making half a batch at a time if you needed to do that. I hope Holly write another book soon; no matter what it's about, I'll be first in line to purchase it when she does!

This book contains a handful of recipes that would be good for someone who's never made a bath product before. But it's disappointingly short on content for the price.I was hoping for a lot more information on ingredients with pros and cons in order to facilitate the formulation of recipes beyond the ones provided in the book—because there aren't very many. For many ingredients, only very basic and readily available information is given and some commonly used ingredients aren't even mentioned.All in all, the greatest value in the book is the recipes and the FAQ section which gives some troubleshooting advice. But again, the content is too light to justify the price. One can get far more information with just a little bit of internet research.

I never made bath fizz before so this is something new for me. My bath experience with it wasn't anything spectacular, at least not for my skin. I'm a woman that loves anything that brings a pampering feel to my bath time without any harsh chemical left on my skin. When I found this book through my search, I had to give it a try. (Great cover picture... and who doesn't enjoy sweets?) This is the year I plan to tap into my bath creative side & have fun. I was excited when I got this book yesterday. Holly made the pages easy to read and added delicious pictures that will call her readers to play. It takes you through Basic Bath Bomb recipe step-by-step which.you can alter from. Another thing I love is that she encourages you to have fun & be creative, like me she was also a beginner. (That's encouraging!) The first few pages give a descriptive view on various butter, oil and dry ingredients that could be used in creating delicious recipes you can use for its various purposes - skin kiss plus a little R&R. Recipes like Lemoncello Fizzy, Oatmeal & Milk Winter Fizzy, Herbal Bath, No-Butter Bomb, Tropical Escape Fizzy, Pops-Truffles-and Candy Apples (Dipping & Decorating) are just a small taste of what you'll find in this fabulous book. I gave this a 5 star because it's all that I'm looking for in creating bath fizz. It also has a list of RESOURCES & SUPPLIERS, making it easier for me to get all that I need to start off in the right direction. I know this will make a jolly gift to myself & loved ones. ( birthdays & holidays). I will report back later after I have tried some of her recipes (with pictures I hope).

fantastic book! Helpful and informative and very inspirational. I have tried some of the recipes and with a bit of practice had some success. Its so exciting to see them work out!

This was fun to read and now I'm very inspired! Something for everyone from guys to gals, young and adult. Being in the UK I'd be happier if the measurements were by weight but I can make these adjustments so no biggie.

Over priced and very basic, I was expecting new innovative ways to make ️bath treats, sadly not.
