HELMER Bluetooth Amplifier in Wall, Home Stereo Audio System, 5 Inches Video Player with Touch Screen, White, BM207M

I purchased this item since it looked really nice, and kinda does once mounted. The wiring connections on the back were simple enough to install as you can remove the pins, insert the wires, tighten screws down and push pins back into the back of the unit but ya gotta be careful when setting the unit back in box or they may pull out.The sound is pretty good with a set of JBL 4"s I put in the ceiling so ok there. As others have said you can't adjust the sound effects like bass so that was a drop and you can't adjust the stupid clock from 24hour cycle to 12hour - that is just beyond ignorant for a simple task. The instructions aren't good enough I think to go with the unit, should be lots more involved as in details for each task. The screen is a basic program screen and not android..they would have been better off using an android version having wifi and allowing you to run the apps directly from it like Pandora vs phone and bluetooth. The FM radio is prob going to get the most use from me since its easy to walk in hit the screen go to it and its on. I connected another speaker wire to that hookup and ran into attic when I was wiring...wrapped the end around a old metal clothing hanger and hung it in rafters for now - it picked up every channel I needed right off the bat so simple enough. I'll put in a regular antenna soon but no rush there - just noting you can use a pc of regular speaker wire for this task when running other speaker wire. The FM selector is kinda funky....you get a onscreen bar of frequencies you have to press right or left arrow multiple times to get it to move which is silly. Why can't you press just at a certain spot on screen to move the line and guess the channel or let me have an onscreen number pad to punch it in. Things like this is why I'm giving it 3 stars because for the money it should have been a lot more to it and easier to use. Anything less than 3 stars would have gotten returned but its working and content with the outcome.I will make a note that this is the only one of its kind I could find anywhere...there are other options from special makers but they are very very expensive. I just don't get it with the price of tablets being this low now that someone can't design an android version to mount to a wall.

This was an upgrade from the smaller Helmer unit so the power and speaker wires were already there. However I had to make the opening in my wall larger for this unit. I installed the unit (2 power connections, 4 speaker connections, and the antenna). Turned the power back on and the unit lit up. However I could not get anything but the most miniscule amount of sound from the speakers (like lower than a whisper) at maximum volume. I re-seated all connections with no better result. Bad out of the box!I returned the unit for a replacement... the second unit would not power up at all. Keep in mind that I am committed due to the hole in my wall, so I ordered a 3rd unit... installed it today, and it appears to be working perfectly. There is either a quality control issue with these units, or I am the unluckiest person on the planet and was shipped the only 2 bad ones they have... you decide.

It comes with junction box so that I don’t need to order extra back box. I tested it before I install it in wall. It looks all fine.It’s quite easy for installation since my house came pre-wired. Basically just plug-n-play. I do it by myself. The best thing is the small device has built in power supply, I don’t need to find place to keep the adapter like other models. After installation, it’s all clean outside.I connect 4 speakers (8ohm, 100W) with it, it sounds pretty good and actually loud enough for our living room. After I peel off the protection membrane on screen, it’s awesome touch screen, very responsive. The BT works fine, it will pair with my mobile by itself after the first time pairing.I installed one TF card in device and use remote control to play directly which is more convenient for us.I may consider to order another WIFI one that I found the android one looks more interesting to install for upstairs.

So I'll start with the good:- classy, clean look- wiring is super easy abd straightforward; I like how the connectors pull off the unit to screw in speaker wire- sound is pretty good- decent power outputAnd the bad:- documentation is basically non-existent, especially installation. You're left to figure it out on your own- interface isn't as intuitive as I would have liked- can't handle multiple operations, i.e. you can't listen to music and change settings at the same time. A big deal to me as I mostly use it for bluetooth and I can't get to the EQ settings (lacking as they are) while the bluetooth is open.- NO GRAPHIC EQ. I dock a full star for this alone. It's 2021, any standalone music player, especially if it has a touchscreen, should have a graphic EQ. Also the EQ presets it does have don't have names, just pictures, so you're just guessing what they'll actually do.I'm going to keep it as it's just to drive a pair of speakers in my workshop and I don't need perfectly dialed in audiophile sound, but I wish I had a little more control.

I purchased the amplifier a few months ago, and it is perfect for my needs. However, I had an issue after a few months, and I would attest that the company will always support their products and their customers..... This is not an inexpensive unit, so in case your purchase decision is held back whether it is truly worth it - I’d say it is not only a great product, go ahead, get one and enjoy the unit, and have no doubt that you will be covered. Rarely companies have an excellent customer care nowadays, and kudos to the company (and thanks to Teresa as well!) for handling my issue superbly well!

Very good product, i love it. The only bad think remote don’t work if you are around the corner

Not the best.The user interface is pretty archaic. Think smart phone circa 2007.Hooked up to four x 4" ceiling mount speakers and it doesn't have the juice to power them very well at all.Equalizer is limited to a selection of standard settings with no information beyond an image.The volume max's out at '30'. One feels like it needs to go to 80-100 to get any serious volume beyond ambient sound.Ports to install audio wires are somewhat difficult to use and only accept very light gauge wire.Bought a couple months ago for a reno and just got to installing it. I'd like to return it, can seller please contact me? I will be happy to modify this review if there's a solution.

Used for Bluetooth only. Looks good, plays well, good tone easy to install and looks great on wall

I installed this unit in our bathroom with a couple of ceiling speakers. It was quite easy to install, looks good and sounds good. Very pleased with the simplicity of using the unit. The only thing I think would make this unit that much better is if it had wifi connectivity as it would enable internet radio but the fact that it has Bluetooth allows me to accomplish the same objective via the Bluetooth connection to my phone. I highly recommend this unit and is the only one of its kind that I could find anywhere.
