BasilUnisex's Cento Basket, Nature

I bought this to match the Basil front basket as I liked it so much, this is of the same good quality. Made of dark grey plastic, woven in the same way as a wicker basket but does not look cheap or plasticy. The frame is a rigid, solid metal covered in a grey metal (or it may be the plastic) to match the plastic wicker. The bottom of the basket is an open weave black metal, a pen might fall through the holes, I hope it doesn't rust or snap but fear it will. As with the front basket, this is the bit that lets it downThe basket is huge, it doesn't just fit over the rear rack but overhangs the mudguard as well (length approx 49cm width 34cms). I haven't fitted it on the bike yet but laughed at the bag of fittings that come with it, about 30, yes 30 screw fittings including washers & whatevers, 2 black brackets, an allen key & instructions.

The actual basket is lovely. I found the hardware and instructions completely incomprehensible, and took to zip tying it to my rear basket instead. That worked nicely, as the basket's lining is mesh. It is a bit heavier than I anticipated, but I only notice this when going uphill. This is a plasticky texture as opposed to wicker, so it does not flake off or get damaged in the rain.

Much better than a front basket, as it can take more weight without compromising your steering. However, the brackets and instructions are useless. I gave up and secured it with cable ties instead! The plastic 'wiccar' is very durable, and even survived being dragged down a road for a few meters when I had a road accident.

Great basket, easy to fit, seems strong.Has been used for picnics, shopping and transportation of children all of which it does well (although I don't think it should be used for children I do make them wear a helmet!)

Really nice big basket. Decorated it with Basil flower garland and it looks great. Only minus is that it's fiddly to attach to rack and instructions are tiny and incomprehensible. Looked unsuccessfully for instructions online and YouTube, but no luck either. In the end I just worked it out.

This didn’t come with any way of attaching this to the bike. Other reviews talk of it being difficult to fit but absolutely nothing other than masses of paper were in the box. I sent a message asking for the attachments but just got a return note. I finally spoke to someone and it was sorted quickly to my satisfaction
