Buyer Beware! Only the remote not the full kit
If something is too good to be true, it probably is. This remote was the least expensive and the prettiest (I like that it has blue and green buttons vs. the blue and yellow). I have one of these installed in my bedroom, with the blue and yellow buttons and it works great. Has been installed since 2011, so a little over 6 years. I am replacing the fan in the living room and wanted a remote. But I also need the thing the remote would control--but this is just the remote. Now to see if I can find the actual converter thing separately or return this remote and buy the full kit.

Excellent Universal Remote
The HiYill Universal Remote is an excellent replacement remote for my Hampton Bay Fan. The dip switches to sinc up to my fan happened to be the same setting of my old remote. Totally recommend this replacement remote.

I have a Hampton bay fan. It didn't work. No instructions on what to set the switches to for compatibility. Tried all sorts of combinations. Sending it back.

My old remote stopped working Becuz the springs in the battery compartment broke loose I ordered this to replace it and then I put batteries in it it did not wor in the battery compartment broke loose I ordered this to replace it and then I put batteries it appeared to work but it would not control the light or the fan I took the fan loose to check the receiver the dip switches all matched up still does not work not happy
