I bought this camera to mount on my helmet while riding my motorbike in the case of an accident. For that purpose it worked perfectly. Having said that, it is not going to give you the same quality as a GoPro. But would you really be expecting that for a camera that is literally a fraction of the cost of a GoPro?I have both a GoPro Session and this and the two are just not comparable. The video quality I get from my GoPro is better in regards to video quality, stability (this camera has no stability control like a GoPro) and low light shooting. Overall it's a matter of getting what you pay for. For more professional and higher quality shots, by all means go for the Go Pro. Having said that, I think this camera operates wonderfully for the price. I would definitely recommend this camera to those of you on a budget, or to those who don't want to spend an outrageous amount on a GoPro. I am pleased with the footage I have got from this camera and have seen videos from others who use it that have also got great footage as well.***The first camera that I received randomly stopped working one day. It simply turned off and never turned back on for no apparent reason. I got in touch with Yelin directly and their customer service was wonderful! They didn't ask any questions and sent me a new camera through the post. For that reason alone, I would highly recommend this company as they seem to stand behind their products 100% which is something you rarely get from any companies these days.

I bought this little camera for a recent cruise to the Caribbean. At it's low price, I did not expect too much from it. I have not used a GoPro Hero, but another reviewer said this camera functions exactly like his GoPro. It's incredibly simple and intuitive to operate. It has a wide field of view which is perfect for underwater photos and it worked well for shipboard photos. Where I found it lacking is in low light performance. While I was able to get usable videos of some inside entertainment venues, they were just barely usable. Still pictures were not usable at all. I also have an SJ1000 Sports Action camera that I bought in 2014 for about the same price. The SJ1000 has much better low light performance and has the ability to zoom the lens making it more functional. The YELIN does not appear to have a zoom feature. Still, the SJ1000 has increased to about double what I paid for it in 2014 which makes the YELIN a better value but the SJ1000 is a better and more functional camera overall. Both functioned well as underwater cameras while snorkeling. One important advantage of the YELIN has is that it produces AVI video while the SJ1000 produces MOV video requiring much larger file space and I have to convert them to MP4 for use in my video editor.

UPDATE! 3/22/18So originally I was disappointed that my camera was delivered as a lemon. But customer service has reached out to me and did all they can to make great efforts in making me a satisfied customer. I can not be upset when electronics don't work as they should, but when the company don't care for their customers that's an issue. And I can say they have done all they could in fixing the issue. So thank you Jessie for your great customer service & genuinely being concerned about making things right. Can't wait to receive my new camera thanks a million!I'm so upset!!!! Device is just not even working ! I even switched batteries and charged one for 4hrs like stated still nothing.. it may be an issue with both batteries because it just don't work! I'm upset. Seem to only turn on when plugged in, but once I switched batteries it's not even turning on. I'm sure this can be a great gadget but because it's made cheaply it may be a hit or miss on which ones a the gems and which are the lemons! I will order another one today and receive it today same day and see if the next order works.

You get what you pay for. Bottom line is; it works, but has a number of design/quality issues. The image is grainy even in normal daylight, the license plates of cars are unreadable unless they're right in front of the camera. Noticeable distortion with fast movements. The mounts are all total crap - the surface mount's adhesive patch came off with a light pull, could have easily have fallen off on the road (I'm on a motorcycle). The handlebar mount will only fit the smallest diameter bars, which most modern bikes don't have. It's good for a kids BMX bike but that's about it.The battery life & charging displays have been so mysterious & inconsistent I might just have to send it back. You may want to consider spending a bit more for a better camera. I just got this one as a quick, cheap way to just have one on the bike at all in case of an accident, etc. - it's destined to become the rear facing camera once I spend a bit more on a better one for the front.Update: I just took off a star because one battery has completely failed and the other seems to be on it's way. I would not recommend buying this unless you plan on having it directly connected to an external power source all the time.

My husband loves his camera. He hooked it up to his ex car rock crawler and enjoyed what he got back when he viewed the images that he got! It took a beating as he flipped the RC car over several times and it rolled down several rock hills! It still works after and the images and amazing!!! Thank you for such a great affordable product. My husband has wanted one for a while but not wanted to put the money into it!

I am having the same problem as Paige had on February 22. Not working at all. I had bought it for my daughter for her 5th birthday and waited to give it to her, and now unfortunately it is outside the return window. I tried emailing "Jessie", but the email kicked back as no longer being valid. Does anyone have another customer support email?EDIT... Received the replacement and my daughter loves it! Thanks again to the customer service team. For the price, this little camera is a fantastic value.

Can’t beat the price! Worked great underwater, no leaks, underwater picture quality is ok, takes better pictures above water, hard to see screen while shooting underwater, you just hope you are getting the shot. Other then that I just used it on our Hawaiian Vacation
