I use these to make backgrounds for my art and I love the looseness they give. They are easy to clean and are very affordableGreat product

I’m new to the watercolor painting world so I don’t have much to compare them to. But, they worked great for laying down the background.

I purchased these brushes to be used for egg-washing - picked up that little trick from San Francisco Baking Institute.I love how smooth they are, and how much liquid they can hold, which is a great help when you work with lots of items.I didn't have any issues with shedding, but the thread that binds the wood pieces together and "stitches" through the bristles starting unraveling almost immediately. I can attribute this to this particular one brush, but it was a little let down. I will give them another try in the future when I am ready to update and see if it's an issue across the board or just one item, but so far I love the brushes.If you are purchasing them for food use - never use anything heavy on them, like oil, etc. They are only great for egg wash and water.

I always do an inspection of the items I receive--looking at materials used, assembly, etc. These brushes are made of low quality wood and rough shaped with minor refinement. That being said, from a function perspective, they work fantastic. They hold the liquid I am using (shellac, water, varnish) and with mild changes to pressure and presentation angle I can control flow rate very easily. There is no excessive release from one spot on the brush. The distribution is even and smooth. Clean up is easy as well. I am very pleased with these brushes, especially for the price.

I love love love these brushes! They've taken my pottery glazing to the next level. I haven't had them shed for me. They really hold a ton of glaze and get the job done fast and well. I bought two sets and might have to order more!

So happy I bought these. I have never cared for the control fan brushes have given me when applying glaze to ceramics. I ordered these after seeing someone using them on an instructional video I was watching. So glad I did, they work much better than fan brushed imo.

I like that it was a package of three different sizes so the price was right making it a great value pack. Since I’m using them with beeswax for mixed media projects and they will never really need to be cleaned I can’t address that issue.

This product was recommended in an review of several hake brushes. As I'm new to painting and had never used a hake brush, I elected to purchase a less expensive set of 3. Unfortunately, all 3 brushes shed even after multiple uses. The first time I used one - after first washing it and letting it dry, there were so many "hairs" I ended up wiping off the paint so it wouldn't dry before I could get them all removed.

They were exactly what I wanted them to be!
