THERMOS Stainless King Vacuum-Insulated Food Jar with Spoon, 16 Ounce, Matte Stainless Steel

I like to take hot soup or tea with me for winter outings. This pint container has proven to be durable, keeps liquids hot for at least a half day and is easy to clean. If you drop it, it may dent, but being all metal, it survives and continues to do its job. The wide mouth makes it easy to eat from for stews or drink from. The screw on cap can be used as a serving bowl so you can share the contents with someone.

This has been my favorite of all the hot lunch travel containers. I purchased two of this product, as well as two each of the 24 oz container and the 10 oz container. It has kept foods warm for 9 hours so far, with the best results being soups and other mainly liquid based items. My husband and I have both been using these containers most weekdays for the last 3 months and have had no issues. We both live and work in a city and rely on public transportation to get around, so our bags get tossed around and smushed, but absolutely no leaks thus far with this or the 24 oz version.This is the perfect amount of food for me, but it's a little too small for my husband, who prefers the 24 oz container.PROS:Does as advertised and keeps food hot for hoursDurable constructionEasy to clean (see cleaning tips for more info)Completely leak proof!!CONS:"footprint" is slightly large considering the sizeSpoon is useful but harder to clean because it folds (I put it through the dishwasher)Must be careful to not over tighten the lid while food is hot or it's hard to open laterHOW TO USE:Either heat water in the microwave or if you have very hot tap water, fill the container with heated waterCap using the inner screwtop lidWait 10-15 minutes, using this time to heat up whatever you'll want to eat for lunchPour out water and fill with foodClose inner lid (be careful how tight you screw the lid on, as it cools slightly this makes it hard to open)Wait until lunch and eat hot to warm food depending on how long it's beenCLEANING:You'll notice in the detailed picture that there is a clear silicon seal around the inner lid. Others have noted that they can't get this clean and mold grows. I slip this ring off and clean all parts separately, by hand, then allow them to air dry. Even with near daily use they still work wonderfully! Very well made, and it keeps my meal warm sitting in my cold vehicle

I was worried after reading some of the other reviews, but I'm glad that I bought it now. I let hot water sit in it for a few minutes then poured it out and poured my hot drink in it. It was still really hot five hours later. There was no problem with it leaking. The built in spoon will be nice to have when I use it to take soups and stews with me. It will also come in handy this summer to store cold beverages in it to take out with me. I'm so happy that I bought it. It's a great travel size for me.

This thermos food jar has been a lifesaver for traveling with a toddler. It keeps food hot for hours, making it perfect for long-distance flights. Even after several hours, meals stay warm and fresh. The size is just right for packing a portion of food, and it’s leak-proof, so no spills in our bag. However, after several washes in the dishwasher, the exterior started peeling, which is disappointing for an otherwise durable product. Still great for keeping food hot, but the finish could be more resilient.

Bought his for my wife to keep her lunch hot while at work. This works very well. She heated up her food in the microwave and put it in the canister. After 4 hours, her food was still hot. Exactly what I expected from Thermos brand

What can I say, Thermos makes a great thermos! I’m a Flight Attendant who works red eye (all night) flights. I like to bring oatmeal with me for breakfast in the morning. I have tried A LOT of thermoses. This is the only one that I’ve found will keep my oatmeal reasonably warm after 10+ hours.Tip- if you are new to using a thermos make sure you pre heat it with boiling water for about 10 minutes. It makes a huge difference in how long food stays warm. Hope that helps!

My first thermos ever believe it or not but I think I’m going to be very happy with it. Perfect size for me as it would fit into any tote bag. Love it! Should be very easy to clean also because of the wide width And half-size height!! Of course I love that it is stainless steel.
