In-feakin'-credible for breast and side stroke kicks!!! THE ONE fin set to own!
UPDATE-Amazing feedback for optimal "slicing" position of feet. LOVE them as that side to side "flutter" went away after 3 weeks of use so that likely means that my "stabilizing muscles" that hadn't been activated got activated and adapted/grew. I now would like to assert that these aren't "specialty" fins but are the only fins one needs for competitive swim training.WOW! works VASTLY better than hoped for breast stroke and side stroke (I am an old school Lifeguard; and will always keep up my side stroke performance) kicks!!! TRULY optimized for these kicks. On scissors kick, I did notice a side to side "flutter" or "shudder", not performance robbing; and I actually believe that ones tiny leg "stabilizing" muscles will get developed to counter act this motion. So, SUPER for breast stroke kick; and good, but not optimized for, scissors kick. I wear a 13 shoe and the XLs are a perfect fit!

Amazing for Swim Lessons!
I run a swim school in Las Vegas. Our curriculum requires fins and I wasn't too happy with what we had. So after doing my research, watching videos, and reading reviews, I decided to try out the PDF's!I bought one Medium sized one at first. I put them on one girl who I was having trouble with her breaststroke kick (she would always lead with her knees like a frog kick), and after 50 meters, she was doing them perfectly! Another kid was working on flutter kicks, and they were able to get their legs long and beautiful! While these are not a replacement for proper instruction, they are a great way to teach the children how to FEEL the correct propulsion. Also, while the Medium size is made for size 3.5 to 7 in womens, we had a child wearing them who was a size 2 and an adult woman who was a size 9 wearing them (albeit a bit tight, but still comfortable). In fact, the adult promptly returned her new fins and has now bought a pair herself! Most of the bad reviews on here are for people who have tried to use these as work-out fins. I can definitely see how they would not be great for building strength nor long distances. For me, they are a great teaching aid, especially when a child (or adult) has trouble grasping a complicated kick such as the whip kick!

Be careful of blisters
I wore them today while swimming for an hour. I felt some pressure points in certain areas at first. I took them off, readjusted, and didn't feel any more rubbing. The fins didn't feel too big or cumbersome, but it was a little hard to tell compared to the other kinds of fins. They are heavier than the silicone brand of flippers, that's for sure, but not too heavy, surprisedly. Easy to slip on and off in water and on dry ground. Plus, they are comfortable. I love being able to move my ankle freely. On the performance aspect of the fins. It's hard to describe how the fins adjusted my body for the correct posture. I tried to give in to it and just go with it. My body was resisting, unsure how to kick with these new sets of fins. After the first five laps, it felt great doing the crawl. My kick felt stronger and more efficient.During the backstroke, it was way more easier, and less energy was being expelled.I did a few kick sessions, and the dolphin kick was cumbersome but still needs some practice. The one kick I had some trouble with that couldn't be corrected this session was the breaststroke kick. It's like my body forgot how to do it with the fins. But I'll definitely get it next session.I'll wear my swim socks with them to prevent any more blisters. They fit right over them. My shoe size is 9.5 women, and I bought XL as instructed and suggested by others.

These are the best swim fins I've ever used
These are the best swim fins I've ever used. They provide just enough propulsion, do not put pressure on delicate knees, and they force your body into an anatomically correct swim position. Great for training aids and I have been known at times to use them in longer open water swims to help keep pressure off sore shoulders. I wear a women's 11.5W shoe and the XXL is perfect with plenty of room in the elastic back to stretch out. My only complaint is the back is very hard to adjust and if one of the rubber ties becomes undone, it can be a little annoying until you can fix it. But I love these so much I have two pairs -- one to keep with me at home and one at my parents house so I don't have to take them on a plane.

CUTS BOTH FEET!
These PDFs were great; it enables you to perform frog kicks unlike your traditional fins where you're restricted from pulling off your breaststroke. However, these left me with cuts on top of both of my feet. I find the fins comfortable overall, except for the top section where it touches the top part of your foot. You may have to wear a fin boot or some sort of lining to be able to use this without hurting yourself.I would have loved it, except for the above stated. Wanted to return the item, but I am 10 days past the allowable return policy. I will be buying Zoomers instead.

First impression... second impression
I must say that the adjustable strap is not easy to adjust. The top part fits too close to the top of my foot. I will try them with my swim socks and update my review.Tried them with my swimming socks, the top rubs really hard and leaves marks and it is painful. They are great in the water for most kick styles. I am returning these and will order a smaller size, will see.
