Definitely stops any smell escaping so my home doesn't stink from all my "oregano". Unsure if it would pass the dog sniff test though. Not quite big enough to hold all the accessories as well that come with oregano useage.

This is 100% smell proof even with the roll top. You can honestly not smell anything coming from this even when stored inside another bag.I would say it's a lot smaller than I thought when purchasing but that's my fault for not reading the sizes.Product does what it is stated and the quality is very good.
