Yumlock Leakproof Bento Lunch Box Meal Container with 4 compartments (Legato Blue)

I had originally received the Yumbox brand lunch box as a Christmas gift. I loved it and we had a good relationship...until I accidentally left it on top of the toaster oven, made some corn dogs, and warped the outer shell to heck. When I went to replace it, I saw that the Yumlock box was slightly cheaper than the Yumbox so I ordered that instead. I feel like this is a slightly clunkier sister of the Yumbox. Very similar, a little less cute. It's a bit bigger and a bit heavier, but on the bright side, it does hold more food (which is definitely a plus for a girl who ain't dainty). The lock is also a bit stiffer and makes a louder click when I'm trying to quietly stuff my face during class. Small con, though. It does the job and holds hummus in the dip cup all day with no leakage.Overall, the two boxes are very similar. This one is a little less glamorous and a little more of a workhorse. And for $8 cheaper, I'm okay with it!

I have a Bentgo kids for my son, and while it worked great for him, it was slightly too small for my own lunch. I'm trying to watch my portion control, but the Bentgo Kids was just TOO small. This is a bit bigger, and holds a well proportioned adult lunch without any trouble. I put ranch dressing in the dip section for my trial run, and it was fine the first time I opened it, but had definitely slid into the large compartment the second time I opened it (I kept this sideways in my bag). That being said, I think it might have been because a piece of food went across the compartments and lifted the seal, so it's possible this was user error. I think it could be improved by a lid for the dip cup, but otherwise I love this little dude.Recommend you buy silicone cupcake sleeves to help portion out your food further/if you don't like your food to touch.

Absolutely leak proof - which seems to be rare for bento lunch boxes. I've washed the insert several times on the top rack of the dishwasher and it has come out safe each time. My daughter had tossed the case in the dishwasher on the top rack without my knowledge and it came out fine - but I would not recommend it for fear of the rubber detaching from the lid. And this box is large enough for a full lunch which I would normally have thrown in a brown paper lunch bag, but small enough for the kids to throw in their backpacks as if it were a small book.

My daughter loves this lunch box and won't eat unless it's packed in this one. It's sturdy and was durable enough to have been through an entire year of preschool without any problems. I wish it would fit a small yogurt cup inside. Also, even after washing the silicone takes on an unpleasant odor. It does fit in a regular sized rectangular lunch box. I also purchases slim ice packs to put underneath it, and that worked perfectly.

The tray is NOT microwave safe. Just after 3 uses, the clear container started to crack and deform. I've used this for about a month now, and the container is not leakproof anymore. I had vinegar sauce in the box, and now my whole backpack smells like vinegar now, thanks. If you always have food that needs to be microwaved, I wouldn't recommend this at all.

This product lasted all but one week. First of all it leaks which was the main reason why I bought it. Secondly the plastic is so cheap that my dressing ate into the plastic over the weekend.

I've always liked Bento style lunch boxes and this one hit all the points! Appearance, portions size, and convenience, A winner indeed!
