I agree about the "smoky" and or chemical odor! I have washed, soaked, left them outside for DAYS in the rain and the sun with little results.. I have them in the dishwasher right now for a last ditch effort, but it is STRONG!!!!!!!!!!

I received my shipment earlier than stated, very nice baskets for a single portion of sticky rice. With my order was a letter of thanks, which goes a long way with me. So "please" and "thank you" back to Jakapan.

maybe good for decoration unless you can remove the odor
loved the baskets but they have a very strong chemical like odor. I've soaked them for a week and still a very strong smell. I'm afraid that the rice will take on the taste/scent if I use them so for now they are useless.
