Works on metal and other surfaces. The sticky backing works well. Many months in and it still sticks.

so far so good, work as expected, maybe I wish it had tapped edge, so it won't get easily caught by something going close by the surface where it was mounted.

I bought these and some of the white paper-thin tags, and there’s simply no comparisonIn terms of performance and durability. While the thin tags are good for uneven services, like a water bottle, there is simply no comparison in terms of sensitivity. I can trigger these black thicker tags with my iPhone within a couple centimeters which makes them much easier to use. The white paper-thin tags take some time for the phone to recognize them.These tags are so durable that I’ve had them outside (using them as door lock/unlock tags) and over the past couple months they continue to look and perform just like new. I’ve had the paper-thin tags on some water bottles and they haven’t fared well despite not getting wet. I will say both forms have good adhesion.

Although it was not clear from the description that these would work with Apple iPhone, I can confirm that they do. (At least, on my iPhone 14 Pro). They also seem faster to respond than some stickers that I had from a few years ago.
