Yamaha Fuel Treatment Is The Best - My Anectdotal Evidence is Below
I've used this stuff for several years, and yes, I can tell a difference when comparing to things like Sta-Bil, Star-Tron, etc.ANY fuel stabilizer is better than nothing, but Yamaha designs theirs for heavy duty use. This is the stuff you use in your boat's engine when you store your boat for 6+ months.I use it in EVERYTHING I own with a gas engine, except my car. From lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, pressure washers, motorcycles, gas cans (straight and mixed-oil) Everything. And there is a difference.I use this stuff every fill up. Every time I fill up gas cans (ethanol free, of course!) I add Yamaha fuel stabilizer.I can attest that this stuff was in the fuel tank of an older riding lawnmower, that was stored outside, for 5 months during the winter. Rain, snow, freezing weather, and then some hot weather as Spring came. The lawnmower started right up. Perfect. No long cranking, no chugging. I didn't even top-off the battery first.I also have an older motorcycle that's carbureted. It has always been 'cold natured'. If the bike sat more than a single WEEK, it would give me trouble when I would start it up. 2 weeks or more, and I would usually have to hook up the battery charger just to crank the engine enough for it to start. It would crank over 10+ times before firing. You might be thinking about things like: bad spark plugs, plugged fuel filter, bad battery, plugged carb jets, etc. etc. But it wasn't any of those things.Once I started using this stabilizer, the motorcycle ran better than ever before. It would start right up after 2-3 cranks (not 2-3 attempts, but 2-3 rotations of the crankshaft)! I could let it sit for a MONTH, and it would start right up. I got a second bike, so the old bike sat a lot. It sat over a year. I put the battery charger on it for about 30 minutes, and then it started right up, first try, no hesitation. And this was the same motorcycle that would be hard-starting after sitting more than 7 days. That old motorcycle is actually how I found out about Yamaha stuff. It made a world of difference.ALL of my stuff starts on the first try. Even some chainsaws that have those weird starting procedures (press the decomp valve, prime 5x, choke on, pull starter cable 3x, push choke in halfway, pull starter cable, etc. You know what I'm talking about! Those Huskys and Jonsereds.) Now they start on the first 1-2 pulls, and all I do is push the primer bulb a few times, put the choke on and it starts. And sometimes, the saw has been sitting for a YEAR!I'm not saying Yamaha makes magic fuel stabilizer, but they make magic fuel stabilizer. This is one of those 'snake oils' that actually works, and yep, I pay more for it than the red Sta-Bil you can buy at Lowe's or HD, because it's better! No, I haven't done any scientific tests, but this stuff works, and works very well. And yeah, I used a stock photo in this review, because I'm not going out to the garage and taking a picture of the actual bottle. Heh.

Formula change?
Arrived quickly and intact. This new Yamalube is different than my old one. Another reviewer also noticed that the old liquid was reddish brown and had an motor oil smell. This new liquid is a clear red liquid with a strong aromatic, solvent like odor. Maybe it’s age, or maybe it’s a formula change, but it appears different. The solution is still the same: 1oz per 3gal fuel. (I never use ethanol, E10, fuel.)
