Bought this pads to replace the short pads I bought this last year for both me and my daughter.They provide great protection. I had a few snowboarding crashes this year and they do absorb a lot of the impact.Only drawback is that you will need a one size up snowboarding/ski pants. The padding along the hips and tail bone is thick and may not fit in your current pants. Hey, I rather buy another pair of pants than getting hurt.Strongly recommend.

These pants are great. I have owned Crash Pad protective clothing since 1996, when I first learned to snowboard they kept me from literally breaking my butt. I wore them ski-boarding in the Bolivian Andes & ice climbing in The Wrangell Mountains of Alaska. I had them on for my GBWR Luge run (highest altitude), run down Mount Chacaltaya in 1997. They are very versatile but they do make specific ones for mountain biking & other sports. I like the 2200 Padded under pant shown here for its full protection & only wear the Crash Pad shorts when it is too hot to wear these full length ones. They are light weight, very durable & clean easily. I also wear them skating sometimes both inline & on ice. Highly recommended.

I am planning to go oval racing snowmobiles at speeds near 105mph and after researching protective clothing I have decided to go with Crash Pads after hearing of the snowboarders and others who participate in extreme winter sports and how well they perform I will have them under my race jacket and pants for sureRonLance.
