Love Richard
I enjoy most of Richards workouts. My favorite is Sweatin to the Oldies 2 but I also enjoyed this one. It's more upbeat in my opinion where the music just keeps going. No breaks. Also the movement seems more intense than previous STTO workouts.

Another well rounded exercise routine!
I have enjoyed all the "Sweatin" series. This one, as well, is no disappointment. #5 is much like the others in that you have a variety of exercisers going through the routine with you. The only thing missing on this from the others is the musicians. Although they may have lip synced the voices and instruments, the arrangements were very interesting and unique. #5, lacks in that tradition. In fact, I think it bends to the other direction where one Jackson 5 song has the vocalist sounding like Mickey Mouse with Laryngitis! All of the music is canned recreations of the original hits lacking that "live" feeling you got from the previous programs. For those who want to begin on an exercsise program and need a program that is holistic in nature, I recommend any of Richard's DVDs. He always brings you through a well rounded program of warm up, stretches, and aerobic activities all in a fun way. AND, he takes into consideration the people like us that are not in the best of shape nor olympic trainers; just average folk trying to keep their body limber and toned as we age.Age, it is for all ages. None of the movements are difficult.I highly recommend the program as a whole. This version is a low impact aerobic program. That is, you do not do any jumping or leaping. Every move is based on having one or both feet on the ground at all times; another benefit if you are just starting out.Best wishes to you and your road to good health. I find my stamina has grown so much since I began these programs.Cheers!

My number one exercise guru
I never met a Richard Simmons DVD I didn't like. I really don't remember when I bought my first VHS Richard Simmons tape but it could have been 15 years ago. When I bought a DVD player about ten years ago one of my first acquisitions was a Richard Simmons DVD but I have no recollection of which one. I am now the proud owner of ten Richard Simmons DVDs and I love each and every one.I dance to Richard on an average of five days a week for half an hour or more each time. Even though I know everything he is going to say by heart, I still laugh. Some days I really don't feel like exercising at all so I tell myself just five minutes then I can stop. But I don't because once I am in Richard's grip I want to keep going.I've read a few reviews by people who gave up because the dance routines were too hard. One reviewer said he couldn't do the routines because he didn't have hardwood floors! I do have hardwood floors now but did the dances for years on carpet, so get over it.I have to admit, when I first started with Richard, as a non-dancer with no coordination, I never thought I would get the steps down. Sometimes I marched in place until I learned the arm movements. Then I only did the steps and didn't worry about the arms. Sometimes I made up my own steps, or I did the same steps over and over again while he moved on to new ones. But the day came when I was able to put the arm movements together with the feet and I felt like I had entered a new universe. Now when I buy a new DVD I have patience with myself learning the new movements but it is so much easier after all these years. I only hope Richard Simmons keeps spitting out aerobics DVDs for the next several decades. As someone who suffers from painful arthritis it's a matter of use it or lose it, and I intend to keep on using it with Richard!

Best low impact aerobic routine!
Sweatin to the oldies number FIVE is so much better than the 1-4 releases.Number five doesn't have the band playing the songs so the music of each chapter ismuch closer to the original songs. The choreography for each song follows a consistent pattern so the routines are not very difficult to remember. The routines involve a lot of fun arm work and minimal moving around the floor, making it an excellent workout for someone who can't use a step or can't jump around a lot. The set design is colorful and appealing and there are numerous people in the background sitting or dancing in addition to the group of performers. The performers are very polished and obviously prepared and well-practiced for the video. The performers are also people who are in the process of losing weight and their enthusiasm is very infectious! This is our favorite video for our at-home exercise routine.

you will have fun sweatin. Let me tell you
Whats with the sound? I could hardly hear the music. Its not the whooping of the members that drowns the music out, its definitely the sound, its way too low. Was the sound man asleep? Anyway, as for the exercises on this video, I found them more harder to learn than Sweatin 2,3,and 4. You definitely have to view this tape a few times to get them down right, but once you do, you will have fun sweatin. Let me tell you, this one will definitely make you sweat, so have water near by. I found this dvd to be the most challenging, Richard only gives you a few seconds before jumping into another routine. I sometimes have to press pause to take a few more second rest.

La música
La música no se oye muy bien. Se oye más la voz de Richard Simmons. No bueno para bailar.

Once again Richard makes working out fun. Great songs and dance moves that are complex enough to keep me entertained but not hard at all to learn. I have all of Richards Sweatin to the Oldies and I will be forever thankful to him for creating something that makes me enjoy moving my body.Like all of his workouts, you can make it easier or harder by the amount of enthusiasm you put into it. This is a good workout that will get you sweating.

Man muss Richard Simmons einfach lieben!
Richard Simmons ist wohltuend uneitel und kann sehr gut vermitteln, das das Leben auch für Übergewichtige noch schöne Dinge bereithält. Diese Bewegungen machen einfach Spaß.
