TakaokayaTea, Sencha Green Tea, 1.09 oz, 16-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 12)

I have been drinking green tea for 40 yrs - not a lot each day, but one cup after dinner most of the time (with a nice slice of candied ginger). This is not the finest green tea on the market nor is it the cheapest, but it may be the best value. The combination of nice green (not brown) color, bright flavor, and very affordable per cup price earns it a very rare five stars from me.

My first encounter with this tea was at a restaurant. I loved it, so I copied down the Takaokaya name on the tea bag. None of my local stores carries this brand. I'm really happy to find them at Amazon.

I bought this for my mom. She is Japanese and loves good tasting green tea and she said this is the best and she knows where it's grown in Japan .

I'm an east coaster. Originally bought the tea at an Asian food market in Seattle. Liked it there, glad I can get it here! Great Japanese green tea.
