Royal Imports 18" Green Wood Plant Stake, Floral Picks, Wooden Sign Posting Garden Sticks (25 Pcs)

These have worked out great for me, this was my first time growing peppers from seeds. I purchased these so that it could hold the weight of the peppers, since it can get a bit windy here in Chicago. I started a pepper garden on my patio and needed something that would be versatile. As my plants grew I was able to double stack them and use tape to keep them together.

I have a lot of orchids, and when they bloom, their flower spikes need support. These are perfect for that task. I especially appreciate that one end is pointed, for easy insertion into the pot. I can see how this would also be useful in my garden to prop up leaning plants. Good product, good price.

Update: they gave me a 50% refund. I had to throw out like $8 worth of medium, a $5 dollar pot, all $10 worth of these stakes and I may lose an orchid that cost me $24. And they were "kind" enough to give me $5 back for the inconvenience. But at least they were polite while still suggesting I somehow screwed up a process I've done at least a dozen times successfully. Unbelievable.If I could give this product negative stars I absolutely would! They grew mold! The pictures above are from an orchid I replanted recently. I left the stakes in there for a week and they molded! This is completely unacceptable and disgusting! Now I have to repot this poor orchid again wasting time and money on the potting medium.

I bought these to use for some of my smaller plants that need support but are not large enough for thicker types of plant support.The bright sort of jungle green color of these stakes does not look good with my plants. It also bleeds on your fingers.Instead of returning, I will probably dump them in water and let the dye bleed off. Maybe have to do it a few times but that will hopefully get rid of the strong jungle green color and prevent it from bleeding onto my hands and even my plants, making it more attractive looking.

I used these sticks in my garden...in a strange way. I taped them on to the stems of artificial hydrangeas so I could stick them in the ground inside the plant, giving more color to my garden. No one suspects they aren't real blooms. These sticks worked wonderfully, & hold the stems quite securely.

Green dye comes off excessively. Green dye was all over my hands after merely pulling a few of the sticks out of the package. I had gotten green stains all over my jeans and all over my child before I even noticed or attempted to figure out what in the crap all this green stuff was and where it was coming from. The load of laundry with said jeans and said child (j.k. said jeans and child's white t-shirt) is on top of the dryer and about to be folded and I'm sure it didn't stain but if it did I will try to update this feedback with a warning but I'm all but sure the green came out in the wash. But that still sucks. But aside from that, they're good. Sturdy, came quickly, as described.

These are just too thin..at least for what I needed them for, and trust me...the green color DOES get on your hands if they get wet. In the description it says "NON- FADE DYE: The most impressive attribute of these floral sticks are the special green dye used in the production. Unlike similar products, it won’t color the water when used in a flower vase and will not leave your hands green after working with it. The dye is applied using a special procedure which makes it stay on forever"Well the part about "it will not leave your hands green after working with it" is not true if your hands or the stakes get wet. I'm sure they can be used for many things and using them for small plants would be fine but I found using them for gardening to stake plants doesn't work so well. They are too thin for that unless they are small plants. I needed to stake a medium size tomato plant and had to tie 2 together to give it some kind of sturdiness & hight. I removed the stake and found something more sturdy. As long as you don't get your hands or the stake wet then they might be ok for certain projects. I think I will try to return them actually.

They should work fine for staking some lilies before they die back so I'll know where the bulbs are. But don't believe the part about non-fade dye: my hand that was holding the bundle was solid green after I staked about 12 plants. Fortunately it washed off with soap and water and I didn't get any on my clothes, just my hand.

The sticks are not sturdy at all and are very thin. The green dye also gets all over your hands. way too expensive for the quality.

They are garden sticks, they hold up plants, thin plants.

Very sturdy and good value.

I like everything about this product.
