I needed an extension cord for a welder at the house and did some online searching to see what was out there as far as ready-to-use and DIY make-it-yourself options. This one looked pretty solid from the photos and after tallying up the cost in parts alone for making one myself, it just made sense to buy this one. Been using it with a H/F 220 multi-process MIG/TIG/Stick welder (only doing MIG at the moment), and the cord is working just fine. The end plugs are solid & seem to be sturdy, and the girth on this cord is quite a bit thicker than the cord that the welder came with, which would be appropriate given that it's quite a bit longer. So far it's been great, and because there aren't any moving parts to this thing, I expect to get a lot of use out of it.

I jacked my truck up to weld some exhaust hole on it and then released my welder just barely didn't reach the work area. I am too old, fat, and lazy to take the truck off the jack stands, move it closer, jack it up again, etc. I just left the thing where it was and ordered this extension. When it showed up I plugged it in and went to town. I can't imagine needing a longer one. The ends are strong and the cable is nice and thick but still flops around instead of fighting me the whole time.

This was what I have been missing. I was so excited to get a welder and just brought projects to it. That works until the project is big then you have to move the project around so the welder can reach. This cord works great. Doesn't heat up at all. Don't know about durability, because I have only been using it a week. Construction seems pretty rugged though. This is a must have accessory for a garage welder. Using with a Hobart 190 /225 .

This is just a simple extension cord. With excellent thick insulation with the length and ends you need for welding. I couldn't makeup a cable myself with this quality for this price. They didn't chince out on the ends or insulation one little bit. BougeRV makes some excellent cables and junction boxes for wiring your RV or trailer. You won't go wrong with their products. I started buying from them last year and am impressed with their products for a fair price. I applaud their quality. It's up to you to make a quality installation. With BougeRV products it looks good even if nobody else can see the installation.

This extension cord is very well constructed. I use it a few times a week to reach the things I may be welding outside the garage. I don’t notice any loss in amperage like I have with other cords. This is a super purchase if you need to reach all locations in your shop. The extension cord has a light inside the clear female connector that lets you know the cord is live. This is something you will like having just for you know. I look to see the light is on or off before plugging in the welder. You that know 220 volt electrical know the safety issues in plugging in on a live wire. But overall this extension cord gets a two thumbs up from me. I’m sure it will be good for many years to come.

I opted for this brand over all the generic Chinese ones, preferring to go middle-of-the-road on the non-premium priced extension cord. I can't comment on durability yet, but functionality is excellent. The ends are nicely terminated and you can see nice thick copper in the transparent housing. The cord is surprisingly flexible in 40+ degree weather, straightening easily and coiling right back up when done. It doesn't get hot at all after running a 240V welder for several hours.

This is the best cord for the money. I bought this and another similar priced one off Amazon. Kept this cord because the overmolding was fully sealed and better quality than the competition. Has worked well for welding a few months.
